Mamiya

Stingray sent me a note about his getting plan to order a used medium format camera (mamiya rz67 - the older model). He can use this for larger black and white prints.
The camera is big, bulky and heavy for his outdoor photography but for the type of outdoor photography he does, he figures he can save the weight by just bringing a lens or two at a time.
Something about larger prints that make you really want to get into photography even more. There's nothing like going to a room and gazing at a large print.

these are great pictures! mamiya makes great cameras. lots of good deals to be found especially for used cameras nowadays, with lots of people going into digital. good thing about the rz or the rz is that they are very versatile cameras - can focus very close with their bellows and have a wide range of lenses and accessories. probably not best choice though for sports, street or news photography.
Don't the Mamiyas still use rolls of film?
In this digital camera age, one forgets that we used to have rolls of film that only had 12 shots. Having 36 shots in those days was a luxury.
I complete agree with you guys. I look forward to your photos Stingray.
