In Praise of Photographer Artu Nepumoceno

As I told my brother, it's much better to hire a pro when you have a family affair.

I am glad he agreed with me and convinced the family to get Artu Nepomuceno to shoot our big reunion / 50th wedding celebration of my parents.

It's not just about the raw talent here, Artu and his assistant Miggy were true gentlemen and stand-up guys -- ready to go with the flow and take charge when necessary.

I talk about the connection a photographer needs to have with subjects. In the case of our family, he had a never ending stream of 13 grandchildren to shoot in varying states of happiness, distress and frenzy.

We're not even talking about the parents and grandparents who were celebrating the anniversary.

Beautiful chaos and wonderful result.

It's nice to be on the other side of the lens sometime not worrying about capturing the moment.
